Spondylon capsule is a proprietary Ayurvedic medicine manufactured by Nagarjuna Ayurvedic Group Kerala. Spondylon capsule is useful in conditions like spondylitis, ankylosing spondylitis, cervical spondylosis, neuralgia of shoulder and back and other multiple joint pains.

1. Prasarani Paederia foetida Useful in diseases due to vitiation of vata, relieves pain, inflammation and stiffness. Useful in rheumatoid arthritis, gout. Improves strength and immunity.
2. Masha Vigna radiata Is a good nervine tonic. Useful in treating pains, sciatica, neurological disorders, paralysis, debility, arthritis, joint pain.
3. Sahachara Strobilanthes ciliatus Has anti inflammatory, anti arthritic action. Alleviates symptoms like joint pain, inflammation, morning stiffness.
4. Shatavari Asparagus racemosus Has anti inflammatory, anti oxidant properties, supports immune system, useful in conditions like spondylosis, osteoarthritis.
5. Devadaru Cedrus deodara Useful in neurological disorders, arthritis, useful in treating disorders of vata vitiation like neuralgia, paralysis. Has analgesic, anti inflammatory activities.
6. Bala Sida cordifolia Helps to improve strength of bones, muscles and joints. Balances all the three doshas especially vata. Relieve joint pain, inflammation, headache.
7. Rasna Pluchea lanceolata Helps to stimulate digestive fire and to cure inflammation, gout, pain, arthritis. Has anti inflammatory and analgesic action.
8. Ashwagandha Withania somnifera Has action on nervous system, is a pain reliever. Possess anti inflammatory properties. Relieves stress, strain, fatigue.
9. Vidari Pueraria tuberosa Helps to reduce swellings of joints, improves strength and immunity, is nourishing. Has anti inflammatory, anti oxidant properties.
10. Punarnava Boerhaavia diffusa Has diuretic, rejuvenative properties. Useful in treating edema, fever, rheumatoid arthritis.
11. Shatahwa Anethum sowa Improves digestive power, has anti inflammatory properties and helps to reduce pain and inflammation.
12. Gokshura Tribulus terrestris Boosts immunity, has diuretic,rejuvenative properties. Due to its anti inflammatory and analgesic properties it helps in reduction of pain and inflammation in osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis.

DOSE

1-2 capsules twice or thrice daily, or as directed by the physician.

EXERCISE AND YOGA

Simple yoga postures, meditation, pranayama are advised. Following asanas are useful-

  • Bhujangasana (Cobra pose)
  • Matsyasana (Fish pose)
  • Makarasana (Crocodile pose)
  • Ardha shalabhasana (Half locust pose)

PATHYA AHARAS AND VIHARAS

Light and easily digestible food items, simple exercise is advised. Avoid cold food items, junk foods.
